The work you want

Plumbing SEO built around the jobs that pay

Not all plumbing work is equal. A tap washer pays for your diesel. A new combi pays for your holiday. We build your website and profile around the jobs you want more of, so Google sends you the right calls, not just more of them.

High value

Boiler installations

Combi swaps, system upgrades and full new installs. People research these for a week or two before picking someone, so a good page with your prices, brands and warranties does a lot of the selling for you.

Urgent

Emergency callouts

Burst pipes, no hot water, water coming through the light fitting. Nobody scrolls to page two at 7am with a towel on the floor. They ring the first decent looking plumber on the map.

Repeat work

Boiler repairs & servicing

Annual services turn one-off customers into regulars and keep your diary steady through the summer. Breakdown repairs then pour in as soon as the weather turns.

Landlords

Gas safety certificates

Landlords need a gas safety check every year, and plenty of them own several houses. Rank for landlord searches and one good customer can mean a handful of jobs, every year, without you lifting a finger to find them.

Big tickets

Bathroom fitting

Full refits, walk-in showers and wet rooms. Homeowners want to see finished jobs before they let you near their house, so each one gets a proper gallery and its own page to rank.

Everyday

Leaks, blockages & repairs

Dripping taps, leaking radiators, blocked toilets and outside taps. Smaller jobs, but they keep the phone ringing, and they’re often how a customer first finds you before booking the new boiler.

Gas & heating engineers

SEO for gas engineers and heating engineers

When the heating goes off, people don’t search for a plumber. They search for a gas engineer.

Boiler breakdowns, no heating, a pressure gauge that keeps dropping. These searches use different words to general plumbing, and Google treats them differently too. If your website and profile only talk about plumbing, you’ll miss the people looking for exactly what you’re qualified to do.

We set your Business Profile categories properly, write pages for the heating work you do and put your Gas Safe registration front and centre. Homeowners can check your licence number on the Gas Safe Register in seconds, and the ones who check are usually the customers you want.

  • Pages for boiler repairs, servicing, installs and power flushing
  • The right main and extra categories on Google
  • Your Gas Safe number and the boiler brands you fit
  • Heat pump pages if you’re MCS certified
  • Reviews that mention the job, like “boiler repair” and “same day”
Timing is everything

Be top of Google before the first cold snap

Boiler repair searches follow the weather. Quiet in summer, then a rush the week everyone switches their heating on and finds it doesn’t work. SEO takes a few months to build, so the plumbers who start in summer are the ones who take the winter calls.

01

Spring and summer: build

We get your pages, profile and reviews sorted while things are quiet, so Google has months to trust you before demand climbs.

02

Early autumn: push servicing

Posts and reminders about getting boilers checked before winter. Customers book ahead, and you fill September and October with planned work.

03

Winter: catch the breakdowns

When the cold arrives you’re already in the map pack, showing as open, with fresh reviews that mention same day repairs.

Leads vs rankings

Stop paying for leads you share with four other plumbers

Lead sites and directories have their place, and plenty of good plumbers got started on them. But if they’re your main source of work, you’re paying for every enquiry and racing other trades to ring back first.

Lead sites
Pay per lead, or a monthly membership
Who gets the job
The same enquiry often goes to several trades, and the quickest or cheapest usually wins
What you pay
A fee per lead or a membership, whether the job comes off or not
Who owns it
The platform. Stop paying and the enquiries stop the same day
Your reviews
Sit on their site, building their name as much as yours
What we build
Your own SEO
Your own website and Google listing
Who gets the job
The customer rings you directly, with nobody else in the queue
What you pay
One monthly price, however many calls come in
Who owns it
You. Rankings and reviews keep building month after month
Your reviews
On your Google profile, right where people are searching

You don’t have to quit the lead sites overnight. Most plumbers keep one running while their own rankings build, then cut back once the phone’s ringing from Google.

Google reviews

Get more Google reviews without the awkward ask

Reviews are one of the biggest reasons Google picks one plumber over another for the map pack, and they’re the first thing a customer compares before ringing you.

The hard bit is asking. You’ve finished the job, you’re packing up, and the last thing you fancy is asking for a favour. So we make it a two second job. One tap on your phone sends a friendly text with a direct link while the customer is still delighted their hot water is back.

The best reviews mention the job and the town. “Fixed our boiler same day in Brigg” does far more for you than “great service”, and we’ll show you how to nudge customers that way without putting words in their mouth.

  • A short review link that goes straight to your profile
  • Text and WhatsApp messages ready to send
  • Help replying to every review, good or bad
  • No fake or paid reviews, ever
Your patch

Show up in every town your van covers

Google leans heavily on distance. If you’re based in Scunthorpe you’ll find it fairly easy to rank there, and much harder in Brigg, Barton or Epworth, even if you’re working in those places every week.

The answer is a proper page for each town you cover, written for the people who live there: the jobs you do most locally, how quickly you can usually get out and the areas you know well. Not the same page with the town name swapped, which Google spots straight away.

  • A unique page for each town or area you cover
  • Service area set correctly on your Business Profile
  • Home address hidden if you work from home

Frequently asked questions

Plumbing & heating SEO FAQs

How much does SEO cost for a plumbing business?

Plumbers on our all-in-one plan pay £180 a month, and that includes the website, hosting, a branded email address and the local SEO itself, with no setup fee and no contract. Got a website you’re happy with? Local SEO on its own starts from £300 a month, depending on how many towns you want to cover and how busy your area is.

How long before I get more plumbing jobs from Google?

Most plumbers notice more calls within three to six months. A properly set up Business Profile can start bringing in enquiries within weeks, while ranking your website for busy searches like boiler installation in a large town takes longer. Starting in spring or summer means you’re ready for the winter rush.

Can you get me into the map pack for emergency plumber searches?

We can give you the best possible shot. Google ranks the map pack on how relevant you are, how close you are to the person searching and how well reviewed you are, and we work on all three. Opening hours matter too, because a profile showing as closed at 10pm won’t appear for late night emergencies.

Should I show my home address on Google if I work from home?

No. Set your profile up as a service area business, hide your address and list the towns you cover instead. It’s exactly what Google expects from plumbers who travel to customers, it keeps your home private and it won’t stop you ranking.

Do I need a separate page for each plumbing service?

For the jobs you want more of, yes. One page trying to rank for boilers, bathrooms and blocked drains won’t rank well for any of them. A dedicated boiler installation page with your prices, brands and warranties gives Google a clear answer and gives the customer what they came for.

I only do gas and heating work. Will this still work for me?

Yes. We’d build everything around heating instead of general plumbing: boiler repairs, servicing, installs, landlord certificates and heat pumps if you fit them. Gas engineers often do especially well from SEO, because the jobs are higher value and the searches are more specific.

Should I put my Gas Safe number on my website?

Yes, along with the type of work you’re qualified for. Lots of homeowners check engineers on the Gas Safe Register before they book, and showing your number up front removes the doubt. It also helps Google and AI search tools trust that you’re a real, registered business.

Can SEO bring in more boiler installs instead of small jobs?

That’s one of the things it does best. We put most of the effort into the pages and searches that lead to installs and bathroom refits, while still picking up the repair work that keeps you busy. You decide the mix and we build around it.

I’m already on Checkatrade. Do I still need SEO?

Directories are useful, and a good profile on one even helps your local SEO. The difference is that customers who find you on Google ring you directly, without a list of other plumbers beside your name. Many of our clients keep a directory running while their rankings grow, then decide whether it’s still worth the fee.

Do you work with plumbers outside North Lincolnshire?

Yes. We’re based in Scunthorpe and work with plumbers and heating engineers across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and the rest of the UK. Most of it happens over the phone, so it makes no difference whether you’re in Grimsby or Gloucester.
